This week emphasizes the importance of appropriately vaccinating adults against in-fluenza, pneumococcal disease, hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. National Adult Immunization Awareness Week coincides with the beginning of the influenza vaccination season and increases awareness for the need to implement adult vaccination programs.
